A Little Pumpkin Spice in your Coffee!

A Little Pumpkin Spice in your Coffee!

Happy October!

As the air begins to get cool and the leaves start to change, suddenly, pumpkin spice seems to be everywhere. However, we don’t all have the time or money to be heading to a certain coffee shop each day to get our fix.

Luckily, with our own green aprons and our super simple recipe, you can be your own barista right at home! Whether you have a fancy espresso machine, or just a regular drip coffee machine, these recipes will allow you to get your pumpkin spice on whenever you want.

Pumpkin Spice Coffee Syrup

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup pumpkin puree*
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

*not pumpkin pie filling

Directions:

Stir together your sugar and water in a small saucepan over low heat, until the mixture is clear and all sugar is dissolved.

Once the syrup is hot, add the sweetened condensed milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Continue stirring over low heat for 5 minutes until mixture is hot throughout and smells incredible.

Remove the mixture from heat and stir in your vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth, and then pour into a jar.

Add to your own home brewed coffee!

We recommend using 2-4 tablespoons per cup of coffee, and be sure to store your syrup in the fridge for no longer than a week.

This recipe also freezes well and will simply need to be warmed and mixed. If you find that you can’t finish the full batch, we recommend freezing in ice cube trays so that you can add a cube to your coffee whenever you want to add a little bit of fall flair!

Go the classic green route with our Forest aprons, or take a queue from the changing leaves and go with Terracotta or Merlot, and get to work on your very own PSL syrup! ~ Enjoy!
